Celebrating research excellence
The excellence and outstanding contributions of Macquarie University researchers were recognised at the annual Macquarie University Research Awards on 2 October 2014.
The Macquarie University Research Awards are open to all research staff and higher degree research students at the University.
This year, the Macquarie University Research Awards covered the full spectrum of research activities, including recognition for early career researchers and research leaders.
"The nominees for this year's awards cover such a wide range of research areas that I'm certain those who attended the gala event last night would have learnt not only something they didn't know about a subject, but learn about a subject they didn't even know existed. I was inspired and exhilarated by the winning entries," says Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) Professor Pretorius.
