Emotion and mental health

The Emotion and Mental Health research group focus upon understanding the basis of psychological disorders as well as promoting psychological health and well-being from childhood to adulthood. Our research here includes anxiety disorders in childhood and adolescence, posttraumatic stress disorder, as well as factors influencing maternal anxiety and depression. We are also involved in studying the impact of genetic risk information for breast cancer, body image and the influence of genes on treatment response, as well as conducting and evaluating evidence-based treatments for child and adolescent anxiety, adult social phobia, and anxiety and depression in older adults.
