NHMRC Career Development Fellow, Senior Lecture and Co-Director eCentreClinic

I am a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Research Fellow, Clinical Psychologist, Co-Director of the eCentreClinic (www.ecentreclinic.org) and a Core Project Team member of the MindSpot Clinic (www.mindspot.org.au). The eCentreClinic is a not-for-profit specialist research unit that develops, evaluates and implements innovative treatment programs, which aim to improve access, for both clinicians and consumers, to evidence-based care. Our research is both conceptual and pragmatic with the overarching goal of creating clinically optimally effective, safe, efficient and convenient treatment programs that are highly acceptable.

Our team conducts a large number of research projects evaluating new interventions for a range of common mental disorders and chronic health conditions for different age and ethnic groups. I have a particular interest in trans diagnostic treatment programs for anxiety and depressive disorders as well as self-management treatment programs for a range of chronic physical conditions including chronic pain, chronic kidney disease, spinal cord injury, epilepsy and functional gastrointestinal disorders. This area of research was recently recognised in the Macquarie University's 50 years of World-Leading Research and World-Changing Impact commemorative book as one of the top 50 areas of university research achievement.

Research interests

Psychological Treatment; Anxiety; Depression; Chronic disease; Innovative treatment; Increasing Access.
