Description: Mridula Sharma, lecturer in the Department of Linguistics talks about the burgeoning field of Audiology, an area with huge regional career opportunities. She also gets us excited about and Macquarie Universities Hearing Hub, the first audiology and speech pathology clinic. It will house Macquarie University postgraduates with Australian Hearing and Cochlear Implant Specialists. She sees this as a learning opportunity and collaborative research opportunity under the same roof.
Dr Elisabeth Harrison, Senior Lecturer and Program Convenor, outlines the structure of the Master of Speech & Language Pathology program, and highlights entry pathways for applicants from various undergraduate degrees.
Eva Nemeth, Director of Clinical Education, describes the clinical components of the degree, and the roles of speech pathologists in society today. Eva also offers applicants the opportunity to visit the Macquarie University Speech Clinic and observe current students, clinical educators, and researchers at work.
